Yes, 16GB will work fine for a typical home setup with a handful of users. Nextcloud and MariaDB are not memory hogs unless you’re syncing terabytes of files or running dozens of concurrent connections. Plex will use more RAM during transcoding, but unless you’re doing multiple 4K transcodes simultaneously, 16GB handles it.

Each container adds some overhead, but Docker itself is lightweight. For light to moderate use, you’ll rarely hit swap.

The only reason to jump to 32GB
