16GB is still enough for browsing, Office, and light gaming.
Probably not. Unless you keep 47 Chrome tabs open alongside a bloated PowerPoint and a game in the background, 16GB does the job just fine.
Light gaming rarely needs more than 16GB, and Office has been happy on 8GB for years. Browsing can eat RAM, sure, but even a tab-hoarder like me rarely pushes past 12GB unless I’m also running something heavy in the background.
32GB is for video editing, virtual machines, or playing Star Citizen. If you’re just here for email, spreadsheets, and a round of Civilization or Minecraft, you’re not getting much benefit. The money is better spent on a faster SSD or a nicer monitor.
Spend that cash on something you’ll actually notice.
