16GB won't fix your integrated graphics

Probably not.

Integrated graphics are bottlenecked by the GPU itself, not by how much RAM you have. If you’re currently running 8GB in single-channel mode, switching to dual-channel 16GB will help a little—maybe 10-15% in some games—but that’s the memory bandwidth, not the capacity. If you already have dual-channel 8GB, adding more RAM won’t make games run faster. It’ll just let you keep more Chrome tabs open while you play at 30 fps.

The money is better spent on a dedicated GPU, even a cheap used one. Integrated graphics are fine for indie games and esports titles, but no amount of RAM turns them into a gaming chip.

This is not where you throw money.
