24GB is the ceiling for the M3 MacBook Air
Yes, 24GB — and that’s it.
Apple offers the M3 Air in 8GB, 16GB, or 24GB. The M3 chip’s memory controller maxes out there. No 32GB, no 64GB. You can’t upgrade later either — it’s all soldered.
If you’re pushing heavy virtual machines or large code compiles, 24GB is fine for most. But if you know you need 32GB or more, get a MacBook Pro instead. The Air is not the machine for that.
Don’t expect to upgrade later — this is a one-time decision.
