32GB helps with stuttering in Cyberpunk and Starfield.

Yes, in many cases.

These games are memory hogs. Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing and heavy mods can eat over 20GB. Starfield isn’t much nicer. If you’re running 16GB, Windows starts swapping to your SSD the moment a busy city district loads in—that’s the stutter.

Adding 32GB gives breathing room. Background apps, Discord, Chrome tabs, all that junk stops stealing game memory. You’ll see fewer hitches.

That said, stuttering isn’t always RAM. Could be shader compilation (Cyberpunk’s famous for it), a CPU bottleneck, or just bad optimization. But as a first cheap upgrade? 32GB is solid for modern open-world stuff.

If your rig is decent otherwise, do it.
