32GB is the answer for tab hoarders.

Yes, it helps a lot. If you regularly have 50+ tabs plus a few apps like Slack, Spotify, and maybe a code editor or Office, 16GB will start swapping. You’ll feel it – lag, stuttering, the fan spinning up. 32GB gives you breathing room.

Modern browsers are memory hogs. Chromium-based ones especially – each tab is a separate process. Extensions add more. With 50 tabs you’re easily chewing through 10–12GB just in the browser. Add everything else and you’re knocking on 16GB’s door. 32GB means you don’t have to think about it. You won’t be that person closing tabs to open Photoshop.

Is it overkill for most people? Yes. For you? No. If you’re asking, you’re the person who needs it.
