32GB RAM won't void your warranty or melt your PC.

No and no.

Most desktop and laptop manufacturers explicitly allow user upgrades to RAM without voiding the warranty — as long as you don’t physically damage anything. Think of it like changing a tire: the car is designed for it. If you clip a wire or snap a clip, that’s on you, but simply installing a stick of RAM in the designated slot? Totally fine. Check your manual or support page if you’re nervous, but 99% of the time you’re good.

Cooling is a non-issue. Standard DDR4 or DDR5 RAM at stock speeds (even 32GB) generates very little heat. Your case airflow handles it. No extra fans, no liquid cooling, no thermal pads needed. The only time you’d worry is if you’re overclocking aggressively or running some exotic high-voltage kit — but that’s not what we’re talking about here.

Just confirm it’s the right generation (DDR4 vs DDR5) and the correct form factor (DIMM for desktop, SODIMM for laptop). That’s the only real gotcha.
