64GB is probably overkill — unless you're running something memory-hungry.

Probably. For 20 typical containers (web servers, databases, tools), 32GB is plenty. Most containers are lightweight — a few hundred MB each. Even with overhead, you’re not hitting 32GB unless you’re running multiple heavy databases, JVM apps, or AI models.

If you’re noticing swap usage or OOM kills, then sure, upgrade. But if you’re just running Plex, a few Node apps, and some databases? Stick with 32GB. The extra RAM will sit idle and you’ll wonder why you spent the money.

The only reason to go to 64GB is if you know you need it.
