A dehumidifier is the best way.

Set up a drying rack in a small room, close the door, and run a dehumidifier. That’s it.

Everything else — spin cycle extra time, cracking a window, placing the rack near a radiator — helps around the edges, but a dehumidifier actually removes the moisture from the air. Damp spring weather means the air is already full; you can’t just “air dry” indoors without causing musty smells or taking three days.

If you don’t own one, a dehumidifier costs about the same as a few loads of ruined laundry and a moldy corner. Worth it if you dry inside more than two months out of the year. Otherwise, spin the hell out of your clothes first and put the rack in the smallest room you can ventilate.

Your clothes will dry faster and your room won’t smell like a wet dog.
