A felt calculator cover is a 10-minute DIY win.
Making a felt cover for your calculator screen is easy, cheap, and actually works. You don’t need a case, a sleeve, or any fancy materials. Just felt, scissors, and something to hold it together.
Measure your calculator, then cut two pieces of felt about half an inch bigger on each side. Stack them and sew or glue three sides shut, leaving the top open. Slide the calculator in like a pocket. Felt is soft enough that it won’t scratch the screen, but thick enough to stop dust and bump damage when it’s sitting in your bag.
If you can’t sew, hot glue works fine — just keep the glue line near the edge so it doesn’t bulge against the calculator. You can also cut a small hole in the front if you want to see the display while it’s covered, but honestly, that’s extra work for no real payoff.
Don’t overthink this. Cut, glue, slide, done.
Now your calculator won’t look like it survived a war. That’s a good feeling.
