Hot weather speeds up evaporation like crazy. Wind + low humidity + direct sun = you’re losing gallons a day. A pool cover (even a cheap solar bubble cover) keeps that water in the pool. It also keeps heat in at night and cuts chemical use.

Liquid “evaporation reducers” are mostly snake oil. Windbreaks help a little but not enough. Lowering the water temperature helps, but who wants a cold pool in summer?

Just get a cover. It’s the one pool purchase you won’t hate yourself for.
