Add liquid chlorine in the evening.
Evening. Specifically, after the sun is off the pool.
UV rays destroy chlorine fast — you lose up to half your dose within a few hours if you add it midday. Adding it at dusk means the chlorine works all night when the sun isn’t eating it. You wake up to a properly sanitized pool ready for swimming.
Morning works if you have no choice, but you’ll burn through more chemical. Evening is the smarter, cheaper habit.
Nighttime is when your pool does its real cleaning work. Help it out.
