Anchor it, and stop fighting the current

The only real fix is to anchor your float to something heavy.

A mesh bag full of sand works great. Tie a rope to it, drop it to the pool floor, and attach the other end to your float. A dumbbell or a small kettlebell also works — anything that won’t tip over or roll. If your float doesn’t have a D-ring or loop, tie the rope around the whole thing and use a knot that won’t slide off.

To stop the spinning, you have two options. Either attach two anchors on opposite sides of the float, or use a single rope tied right to the center of a round float. A single off
