The only reliable fix is to anchor your float to the deck, a chair, or a heavy weight. Wind turns those things into sails, and a cheap stake or a hard gust wins every time.

You don’t need anything fancy. A bungee cord or a piece of rope tied to a nearby chair, railing, or screw-in ground stake works. If there’s nothing to tie to, fill a mesh bag with sand, clip it to the float’s D-ring or valve strap, and let it sit on the pool deck.
