Assemble the Sandwich at Lunch, Not Before

The trick is to stop building the sandwich in the morning and instead pack the parts so they meet only when you’re ready to eat.

The biggest sogginess culprit is wet ingredients sitting against bread for hours. Use the compartments to hold the wet stuff separately — tomatoes, pickles, sliced cucumber, dressing, even hummus or avocado. The big dry compartment is for bread and protein; the small ones are for toppings. Slap it together at the table.

This also fixes the flavor mixing problem. Wet things stay contained, and strong players like onion, tuna, or curry get their own sealed small container or silicone muffin liner inside a compartment — not just loose next to the bread. Cool cooked food before packing too, because hot food makes condensation and makes everything taste like everything else.

Your lunch box is more like a toolbox than a lunch tray. Use it that way.
