Bentgo Kids is the lunch box to beat
The Bentgo Kids box is the best mix of fun, durability, and dishwasher-safety you’re going to find.
It checks every box: five compartments keep food separate, the lid seals tight enough to survive a backpack toss, and there are enough prints and characters that your kid won’t feel like you grabbed the generic one. Top-rack dishwasher safe, which is the whole point.
The one real weak spot is the latches. If your kid is hard on stuff — dropping it on concrete, prying it open with a fork — they can crack. For normal school use it’s fine. If your kid is a certified lunch box destroyer, look at PlanetBox instead, but the stainless steel and magnets don’t love the dishwasher, so you’d be hand-washing. Trade-off.
Otherwise: get the Bentgo, pick a print your kid actually likes, and move on.
Future you won’t be scrubbing lunch containers at 8pm.
