Bring your own sandals; the poncho is fine.

No. The poncho will keep you dry enough, but those sandals are basically disposable.

Cave of the Winds gives you a thin plastic poncho and a pair of cheap water shoes (or sandals). The poncho works—it’s the same kind they hand out at every waterfall attraction, and it’ll keep your upper half dry. But the sandals are garbage. They’re essentially foam flip-flops with no grip, and they’ll get soaked immediately. The walkway is slippery, and wet feet inside those things is a recipe for sliding into a rock.

Bring your own water shoes or sturdy sandals with good traction. You’ll be standing in spray the whole time. Trust me, you don’t want to finish the tour squishing around in borrowed slippers.

Future you will thank you when you’re not fighting for balance on wet stairs.
