Britannia Row.

It was a former church hall converted into a recording studio, but everyone called it “Britannia Row” after the address: 35 Britannia Row in Islington, London.

Pink Floyd built it in the mid-1970s so they could record without studio clock pressure. Animals and The Wall both got significant work done there, though Animals was mostly recorded there on their own mobile truck. The place had a weird, damp vibe that seeped into the records. They sold it in the early ’80s after the building got too expensive to maintain.

Not a house in the normal sense, but it was their home base for a good stretch.
