Standard swimsuit sizing assumes a ~B cup and scales everything up proportionally. That’s not how bodies with large busts work. A size large might fit your ribcage but crush your chest; a size XL might float on your ribs but barely cover your bust. The result is either no support or a wardrobe malfunction waiting for a wave.

Bra-sized swimsuits (usually from brands like Bravissimo, Panache, Freya, or Elomi) come in actual band and cup sizes. Underwire is standard. Straps are wider. The fabric holds its shape. You can jump in a pool without adjusting. They cost a little more, but they wear like a bra you can swim in.

Cheaper options? Some Target or Amazon brands now offer cup-sized tops, but quality varies. If you can, try on first. The right fit means no spillage, no gaping, and no digging straps.
