Buy jars, not a bento box.
For pureed meals, the best lunch box is really a set of leak-proof wide-mouth jars, not a bento box.
Here’s the thing: pureed food behaves like a liquid. Put it in a bento box with snap-lid compartments and it will find its way between the sections by the time you get to the car. You want containers that seal individually, and nothing beats a wide-mouth jar for that.
Weck jars or Mason jars with clip/screw lids work great because they come in measured sizes (4 oz, 6 oz, 8 oz), which makes portion control automatic. Fill to the line, seal it, done. If meals need to stay hot, a Thermos wide-mouth food jar does the same job with insulation. Get the wide mouth specifically — narrow thermoses are a nightmare to clean once puree dries in the threads.
Carry two or three small jars in any basic insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. The bag matters way less than the containers.
This is not where you cut corners — one leaky lunch ruins the whole afternoon.
