Cave of the Winds has an age minimum; Maid of the Mist does not.

Infants can ride Maid of the Mist with a provided life jacket, but they cannot go on Cave of the Winds — there’s a minimum age (around 3 or 4) and usually a 40-inch height requirement.

Maid of the Mist is a big boat with enclosed lower decks, so babies are fine as long as you keep them warm and dry. The boat supplies rain ponchos, but you’ll want a waterproof cover for the stroller or carrier
