Cheaper rotomolded coolers are just as good.
Probably not. Unless you really care about the logo or plan to use the lifetime warranty heavily, a cheaper rotomolded cooler from RTIC, Pelican, or Orca will keep ice just as long.
The secret to Yeti’s performance isn’t magic—it’s rotomolded construction, thick insulation, and a rubber gasket. Any brand using the same design works about the same. I’ve tested a $300 Yeti side by side with a $150 RTIC. After three days in the sun, both still had ice.
Yeti’s main advantage is customer service and brand cachet. If you’re a guide who beats the hell out of gear and needs a no-questions-asked replacement, fine. For camping trips and tailgates, save the hundred bucks.
Your beer will stay cold either way.
