Clean your cloth mousepad every two weeks.

Every two weeks, or whenever it starts feeling sluggish.

That sounds like a lot, but think about what builds up on your pad: skin oils, dead skin cells, dust, crumbs, maybe a spilled drink. Your hand touches it constantly. That grime turns your smooth glide into a sticky, inconsistent drag. You stop noticing it until you finally wash it and suddenly your mouse feels like new.

Just wash it with mild dish soap and warm water. Scrub gently with your fingers or a soft brush. Rinse well. Press out water with a towel, then air dry flat. Don’t machine wash or dry—that can warp the rubber base. Takes five minutes and makes a bigger difference than buying a new mouse.

Your aim will thank you.
