Clip your utensils to the bag and call it done.

The best way to stop losing lunch utensils is to give them a home that attaches to the lunch box itself.

Pouches and rolls with elastic loops are fine, but they still slide around and end up wedged between the sandwich and the yogurt. Add a small carabiner and clip the thing to an interior loop or handle. The fork physically cannot wander off.

Easiest version: get one of those latching bamboo travel utensil sets. They’re about ten bucks, come with spoon, fork, and chopsticks, and most have a notch built in for clipping. Or take any roll-up cloth pouch and run a mini carabiner through the tie strap.

If you want zero fuss, give the bag one dedicated utensil pocket and never put anything else in it. But the clip method works better for most people because your fork stays at the top instead of sinking to the bottom.

Pack a fork out, pack a fork home.
