Close your windows and change your clothes.

Yes. Those two things make more difference than any fancy air purifier or special pillowcase.

Pollen gets inside mostly through open windows and on your clothing, hair, and skin. Keep windows closed during peak times (early morning and late afternoon). Run the AC or a HEPA air purifier instead.

When you come inside, take off your shoes and outer layer before walking through the house. Ideally leave them at the door. Shower and wash your hair before bed so you’re not rubbing pollen into your pillowcase all night. If you have pets, wipe them down with a damp cloth when they come inside.

Vacuum with a HEPA-filter vacuum. Don’t dry your laundry outside on pollen-heavy days. That’s really all you need to do.

A little routine discipline beats any “allergy-proof” pillow you can buy.
