Clouds won't save your skin.
Yes. Up to 80% of UV rays cut right through clouds. You still burn, you still age, you still increase your cancer risk. Overcast doesn’t mean safe.
UVB (the burning rays) is reduced a bit, but UVA (the aging / cancer rays) barely cares about clouds. And on bright overcast days, you actually get more diffuse UV from all directions — like being in a softbox. Snow or water makes it worse with reflection.
If you’re outside more than 10–15 minutes, put on sunscreen. Every day. Cloudy or not. Your future self will thank you.
