Cordura mousepads resist humidity better than cloth, but not perfectly.
Yes, but the effect is small enough that most people won’t notice.
Traditional cloth pads soak up sweat and ambient moisture like a sponge. That changes the glide noticeably — slower, stickier, inconsistent. Cordura is synthetic nylon, so it doesn’t absorb much at all. The surface texture stays more consistent across humidity levels.
That said, it’s not immune. The weave can trap a thin layer of moisture on top if your hand is sweaty or if you’re in 90% humidity. A few people report a slightly “grabby” feel in those conditions. But we’re talking about a tiny shift, not the dramatic difference you get with cloth.
If you’re hyper-sensitive about consistency (think competitive FPS), maybe test one in your room’s worst conditions. For everyone else, it’s a non-issue.
If you live in a literal swamp, get a hard pad.
