Open CPU‑Z, go to the SPD tab, and look at the “Module Size” and “Manufacturer” rows. If the RAM is soldered, the “Manufacturer” field usually reads something like “Soldered” or “Onboard.” If it’s a removable SODIMM, it’ll show a brand name like Samsung or Micron and a part number.

Manufacturer spec sheets work too—most brands list “soldered” or “onboard” in the memory section—but CPU‑Z is faster and doesn’t require hunting through PDFs.

Either method beats pulling the back cover off.
