Crisp salad at lunch is about dressing, not the box
You don’t need a special salad lunch box — you need to keep the dressing off the leaves and the whole thing cold.
Lettuce goes limp by lunch for two reasons: residual water on the leaves, and dressing breaking down the cells. A fancy container doesn’t solve either. What actually works is dry greens and dressing that doesn’t touch them until you’re ready to eat.
So the best “box” is anything that lets you keep dressing separate and stays cold. A regular bowl with a small sauce jar is fine. A container with a built-in dressing well is convenient, but the extra money mainly buys you leak-proofing, not magic. Don’t overthink it.
One trick that does more than any brand: throw in a paper towel to absorb extra moisture, and use an ice pack under the container. That’s it.
Future-you will actually finish that salad instead of pushing wilted leaves around.
