Crocs are the best all-around footwear for water-adjacent trips.
Crocs.
The provided sandals at hotels or pools are usually cheap, disposable, and uncomfortable after five minutes. Flip-flops are fine for the pool deck but worthless when wet (slippery, no grip). Water shoes are for river hikes or rocky beaches—overkill for lounging.
Crocs dry fast, don’t slip, can be worn in and out of water, and actually stay on your feet. They look dumb but work. Rental alternatives (like at some spas or boat rentals) are a gamble—expensive and often gross.
Just bring Crocs. You’ll avoid soggy flip-flops and blisters from provided sandals.
