Crowd calendars are not worth planning your life around
Not very accurate. They’re better than a blind guess, but treat them as a vague trend, not a schedule.
Crowd calendars pull from historical data — past years, same date, same day of week. That sounds smart, but real-life crowds are driven by weather, random holiday overlaps, local school breaks, new ride openings, or a surprise discount ticket offer. No algorithm catches all that.
I’ve shown up on a “3 out of 10” day and waited 90 minutes for a mid-tier ride. And I’ve had a “9 out of 10” day that felt empty because a storm cleared the park by noon. The margin of error is huge.
If you’re planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip, use them as a rough guide, but don’t rearrange your whole week around a color-coded chart. Check the actual park calendar for events or closures. That’s more useful.
