Dark Side of the Moon: Experience vs. Immersion edition bonus content

The 2011 reissue campaign split Dark Side into three tiers. The Experience edition (2CD) gives you the remastered album plus the “1972 Early Mix” — a stripped-down, rougher take recorded before the final album was even finished. That mix is the real gem: Clare Torry’s vocals aren’t on “The Great Gig in the Sky” yet, and the track sequencing is different. It’s like hearing the album’s skeleton.

The Immersion edition (six discs) adds the full 1974 live show from Wembley Empire Pool — the first ever complete concert release from Pink Floyd’s most pristine live era. You also get a DVD with the 1974 film Live at Pompeii (but that’s the director’s cut, not the original), plus Quad mixes, a Blu-ray, vinyl singles, and a book of photos.
