DDR5’s price drops are slowing down.

Probably not enough to justify waiting. DDR5 has already fallen a ton since launch — we’re talking 40-50% off the early prices. Mid-range kits are now close to what DDR4 costs for similar performance.

The easy money has been made. Further drops will be smaller and slower because manufacturing is maturing, and DDR5 is becoming the new normal. If you’re building a system that requires DDR5 (current-gen Intel or AMD), there’s not much left to gain by waiting a year. Maybe another 10-15% if you’re
