Did any former Pink Floyd members join Roger Waters on his 'Us + Them' tour?
No former Pink Floyd members made surprise appearances during Waters’ 2017–18 “Us + Them” tour. David Gilmour and Nick Mason were never on stage, and Rick Wright had passed away in 2008. Waters did acknowledge his old bandmates through the show’s visuals, which were stuffed with Pink Floyd history — including the floating pig, the marching hammers from The Wall, the prism from Dark Side of the Moon, and a barrage of vintage album art projected across the round screen.
The setlist leaned heavily on Floyd classics, but the real reunion was in the imagery. Waters even used a video montage during “The Last Refugee” that cut to photos of the band in their prime, and the giant inflatable pig returned with slogans scrawled across its body — a callback to the Animals cover era. The tour felt like one long museum of Pink Floyd’s past, with Waters as the curator and no living co-founder in sight.
