Xiaomi's app lock-in is real, but at least it's a good app

Both Xiaomi models connect to Mi Home / Xiaomi Home for scheduling, mapping, and settings. The S40 Pro gets a more detailed map editor if you’re the type who labels every room and draws precise no-go zones, but otherwise the app experience is nearly identical. The ecosystem lock-in is real — fortunately the app is solid enough to justify it.
