The Roborock Q5 is naptime-quiet

The Q5 runs at what I’d call “library fan” levels — it’s a low hum you stop noticing after 30 seconds. My kids were watching Bluey right next to it and didn’t even look up.

There’s no jet-engine roar when it starts. No “what’s that noise” moment on a phone call. Just a consistent background whir that fades into the room’s ambient sound.

On carpet it’s slightly louder (more suction needed), but even then it’s quieter than my upright vacuum. I ran it during a nap test — nobody woke up. That’s the bar.
