Don't mix sunscreen with your moisturizer.
No. Mixing dilutes the SPF and creates an uneven film, so you get less protection than what’s on the label.
Sunscreen is formulated to form a specific protective layer on your skin. The moment you mix it with anything — moisturizer, foundation, whatever — you’re breaking that film and making it less effective. You might think you’re being clever with application, but you’re really just paying for sunscreen you’re not fully getting.
If you want convenience, look for a moisturizer with built-in SPF. Those are tested as a single formula. Or apply sunscreen first, let it dry, then put foundation on top. That’s the only way to keep the protection intact.
Layering works. Mixing doesn’t.
