Don't use indoor cords outdoors, even just for a bit.
Not worth the risk.
Even if it’s not raining, outdoor air has moisture. Condensation gets inside the cord over time. And UV light from the sun will slowly crack the insulation, which you won’t notice until the wire shorts.
Also, indoor cords aren’t built to handle ground moisture or the temperature swings outside. A few hours might be fine, but “temporarily” always turns into “I’ll just leave it for the weekend” and suddenly it’s been three months.
Just buy a proper outdoor-rated cord. They’re not that expensive, and they save you from a fire or a shocking surprise.
