Don't worry about matching your mousepad color to your mouse's LED.
No effect whatsoever.
Modern optical sensors track surface texture, not color. That red or blue glow is just an aesthetic indicator — the sensor itself uses infrared or a specific wavelength that doesn’t care if your mousepad is black, white, or tie-dye.
At extreme DPI settings (above 4000), the real tracking issues come from uneven surfaces, inconsistent weave, or dust. If your cursor is jittery, blame the pad’s texture, not the color contrast. A solid-color cloth pad with a tight weave will outperform any “matching” setup.
Stop overthinking it. Your mouse is smarter than you’re giving it credit for.
