eGPUs don't work with Apple Silicon Macs.
No. Apple dropped external GPU support when they moved from Intel to M1. M2 and M3 are the same story.
The hardware is physically incompatible. Apple Silicon’s Thunderbolt controller can’t talk to an external GPU. Even if you plug one in, macOS won’t recognize it. There’s no driver, no workaround, no hack that makes it happen. A few niche virtualization setups exist, but they’re not practical for real use.
If you need more graphics power, your only options are a MacBook Pro with a built-in discrete GPU (like the M3 Max or M4 Pro) or a Mac Mini / Mac Studio. The M1/M2/M3 Air is great for most things, but not heavy GPU work.
