Expect a slight bump, but it's fine for most.
Yes and no. Most of these pads (Logitech PowerPlay, Razer, Corsair) have a built-in charging coil that creates a subtle raised area under the surface. You can feel it when you mouse over that spot, especially with a hard mousepad. On fabric surfaces it’s less noticeable.
The thickness trade-off is real. Most are around 3-5mm thick, which is thicker than a standard hard pad. If you’re used to a thin cloth pad, the transition can be annoying. I’ve tried a few—Logitech’s is the flattest I’ve seen, but it’s still not invisible.
For convenience it’s a win: never charge your mouse again. But if you’re a competitive gamer who needs perfect surface consistency, you might hate it. For desk warriors who just want wireless power, it’s tolerable.
You get used to the bump within a week.
