Extended desk pads don't cause keyboard wobble — if you pick the right one.
Not really.
Unless you buy one of those thick memory-foam wrist-rest pads that extends under the keyboard, a standard thin cloth desk pad (like 2–3mm) won’t introduce bounce. Your keyboard’s own rubber feet will dig through the fabric and grip the desk fine. Most competitive gamers prefer thin pads anyway for consistent mouse glide, so wobble isn’t a thing.
The real risk is if you use a pad that’s too soft and thick — then the keyboard might tilt slightly when you press keys near the edges. But that’s rare. Even then, you can just remove the pad from keyboard area.
This is one of those things that sounds like a problem but isn’t.
