Extended mouse pads are for keyboard space, not mouse space.

For low-sensitivity gamers, the practical difference in mouse movement between a 450mm pad and a 900mm pad is almost nothing — the extra width is for your keyboard.

A 450mm pad already gives you about 17.5 inches of horizontal space. That’s enough for most low-sens players to do a 180-degree turn without lifting the mouse. Even if you play at 400 DPI and 1.0 in-game sens, a 450mm pad covers roughly 300-350mm of usable swipe distance after accounting for your grip and mouse size. That’s plenty.

The 900mm pad adds another 450mm to the left. Your mouse never goes there — that’s where your keyboard sits. So the
