Fat is the main course.

The best way to pack a keto lunch is to treat fat as the main course, not the afterthought. Stop trying to make a sandwich happen and start building a snack board that happens to be lunch.

Pick one fatty protein — chicken thighs, tuna salad with real mayo, hard-boiled eggs, leftover steak or burger patties. That’s your base. Then add the fat bombs nature already made: cheese, avocado, olives, or a generous handful of macadamia nuts. Finally, throw in something crunchy and low-carb so you don’t feel like you’re eating a butter tray — cucumber slices, bell pepper strips, cherry tomatoes.

Don’t overthink it. A bento-style box with a protein section, a fat section, and a veggie section works way better than trying to keto-fy bread. And if you’re under on fat, a little drizzle of olive oil over everything solves it in seconds. Skip the expensive “keto bread” and special wraps; they’re usually sad and full of weird fiber.

Cold chicken thighs beat a sad lettuce wrap every time.
