First Pink Floyd Live Album to Go Platinum in the US

It’s Delicate Sound of Thunder, released in 1988. The double live set captured the band’s post-Roger Waters tour for A Momentary Lapse of Reason and became Pink Floyd’s first live album to earn a platinum certification from the RIAA (reached in 1990).

Prior to that, Ummagumma (1969) only hit gold, and The Wall was a studio album. Delicate Sound of Thunder also out-charted Pulse, which later went platinum too—but this one got there first.
