Five minutes, maybe ten.

You can do it in under ten minutes, including the time it takes to open the case and find the slot.

It’s literally two steps: slide the stick in until it clicks, then push down the tabs. No tools required. The hardest part is making sure you line up the notch correctly and push evenly. If you’re scared of static, touch a metal part of the case first. That’s it.

Most of the time people spend on this is just psyching themselves out or trying to open the clips before the stick is fully seated. Once you do it once, you’ll laugh at how easy it was.

Don’t overthink it. If your PC doesn’t boot, just reseat it.
