For eggs and fruit, you want a leak-proof bento box
For carrying eggs and fruit in separate portions, the smart money is on a multi-compartment bento box with silicone-sealed lids.
The whole problem is leakage and cross-contamination. Hard-boiled eggs sweat, sliced fruit releases juice, and scrambled eggs are, well, wet. A regular lunch box just lets those run together, and nobody wants blueberry juice in their eggs. A bento box with individual sealed compartments handles that without needing five tiny Tupperware containers.
Look for something like the Monbento (adult-sized, clips shut, virtually leak-proof) or the Yumbox (great portion control, just aimed at kids so portions are smaller). Bentgo also makes solid adult options with the same idea. The trick is that each compartment has its own seal, not just one lid over the whole box. That matters—a single lid still lets liquids slosh across compartments.
Skip the classic tiered tiffin boxes for this. They look cool, but the tiers usually aren’t individually sealed, so egg juice drips down onto your fruit on the way to work. Also, make sure eggs are fully cooled before you pack them; warm eggs will fog up every seal and shorten the life of your box.
Future breakfasts will thank you.
