For soup and yogurt, skip the lunch box and get a Thermos

The Thermos Stainless King food jar is about the only thing I trust to carry soup in a bag without leaking.

It’s not technically a lunch box, but it’s the right tool. The lid screws on tight with a rubber gasket, and the vacuum insulation keeps soup hot until noon (or yogurt cold if you pre-chill the jar). I’ve shoved mine sideways in a backpack and it came out bone dry. The 16-ounce size is plenty for a real meal.

For yogurt alone, you can get away with something like OXO’s Smart-Seal containers, but since you asked about soup too, just get the Thermos. Cheap plastic containers with snap lids are lying to you. This one isn’t.

Your bag and your desk will thank you.
