Get 2 sticks, not 4, for 64GB.
No, not if you can avoid it. 4 sticks of RAM — especially on DDR5 — is a headache you don’t need.
The motherboard has to work harder to train all four memory channels, and you’ll almost certainly end up running at slower speeds (like 3600 MT/s instead of 6000+) or dealing with random crashes. DDR4 is more forgiving but still not guaranteed stable at XMP speeds with four sticks. DDR5 is outright finicky about it.
If you’re building fresh, buy a 2x32GB kit. Same capacity, half the hassle, better performance. If you already have 2x16GB and want to upgrade to 64GB by adding another pair, expect to drop your memory speed and spend an afternoon testing stability. It can work, but it’s rarely worth the drama.
Your motherboard manual hates 4 sticks. Listen to it.
