A dinosaur-shaped lunch box is a waste of money — get a bento-style box with separate compartments instead.

Your kid doesn’t need the lunch box to be a dinosaur. They need the food to not touch. Picky eaters do way better when the sandwich, fruit, and crackers each have their own little cubby. That’s the whole trick.

The Bentgo Kids is the one people keep coming back to for a reason: five compartments, a latch a 4-year-old can open, dishwasher-safe, and the seal holds yogurt without it ending up on the apples. If a dinosaur print matters, Bentgo and a bunch of Amazon brands make dino versions. But the plain one works fine.

What you don’t want is a novelty T-Rex-shaped box. Cute for about a week, then it’s a nightmare to wash and the food area is usually one open space. Cheap knockoffs where the dino is just a sticker are the same story.
